Then what did you read it for? This isn't a series meant to be read for enjoyment purposes, it's more of an actual account of what has happened in a certain characters life that lead to who he is.

but making a series that is not enjoyable to read is pointless.
"average Joe lived an average life and nothing ever happened and he grew up to be a boring person." sure it might explain why Average Joe is so boring, but there's no point in making an explanation if you know that people aren't going to be interested, and therefore that is a factor that must be taken into account.
Why did I read it? I'm not entirely sure. I was bored, I guess. I'd have to think about why, but I don't remember that far back or care enough to try and think.
This all started though when I mentioned something along the lines of people liking believable characters (or something). no need to get offended and/or make up a million excuses.

Excuses? You imply that I have something to excuse...
And on the note of beleiveable, these are isolated incidents. Hence the small number of chapters compared to the long timespan contained wherein. But the rest is either boring, or doesn't advance the story enough to warrant an inclusion. I mean, The Two-and-a-half Weeks of Sickness isn't an interesting title, mainly because the chapter within would include about two and a half weeks without anything happening asside from maybe some vomiting or sneezing and whatnot. I don't feel the need to post "in between" chapters. And I don't need to. I may be telling his story, but only the bits that affecting him and were in the least bit interesting.

I never said taht writing 5 paragraphs about him being sick was the answer. All it takes is a sentence or two indicating what happened, and that's it. If the moment isn't elaborate, then there's no need to write an elaborate story about it. ust fill the reader in so they're not left wondering what the hell is going on.
It's a simple concept, really. And aye, everyone has excuses. They come up a lot in arguments. By trying to tell me that you have nothing to excuse, you are using that as an excuse to defend yourself. reasons are excuses, and reasons are excuses (albeit some are good, some aren't)
Me, I have no excuse. This is... me.

I only need an excuse if I am in some way answerable to you. And, seeing as I neither published this nor invited you specifically to read it, I have no legal reason to do so.
If you really need to know, then the main reason his story is confusing and leaves bits out is that it allows flexibility for me, when using this character for his initially intended role.

Yes, I know it doesn't make much sense, but I felt like posting that pic anyway.

Why just work? I find that whenever there are no young children or authorative adults nearby, it's always good to throw that in. Even if it doesn't make sense at the time.

because work is the main thing I do outside of the house, and my family wouldn't get it. I've said it to my boss countless times before too. She just thinks it's funny.

I make it a point to see my friends on a semi-regular basis, at least.

my coworkers ARE most of my friends.
and when you live in a small town like I do, having numerous friends is no easy task.
Though I've been in the big cities before, and in contrast, they suck. I'd much rather live in a small town, but I'd like to have a big town nearby.
So far, the Western US proves to be the best choice of location for me.

The near-city suburbs are the place for me. Close enough to see the city against the skyline, not close enough to be near any main roads to/from the city. Quiet communites. (Prefferably where neighbor's don't bother me)
Now if I could just get rid of my brother, I'd be fine.

that's why I'd choose a small town over a big one. big cities, even suburbs around them, generally aren't necessarily "peaceful". though my town's got a pretty high crime rate... that's one thing I'm not too content with. There's too many stupid people. Stupid people annoy me almost as much as people who think they're oh-so-smart.

Good thing I live in Melbourne, Australia. Crime rate isn't a problem, and stupid annoying teens are in the minority. And those that do exist can be ignored, or, if it comes to it, scared shitless.
Of course, people who think they're smart aren't a problem, because I don't engage in conversation with the community. I like being left alone. And generally, anyone with a proper grasp of logic can outsmart anyone, so it's not a problem for me. Logic and philosophy are the primary ways to disprove any illusions of intelligence someone may have.
