“We made it!” Suki said. She was with the other Kyoshi warriors, Hakoda and some other people she didn’t know the names to. She said at last “Where did Aang bring us to? I don’t understand why he took us out of the fight?” “This is Ember Island. He must have thought it was too dangerous but, we were there to fight I…” Hakoda said. “He only wanted what was best, I’m sure he has a good reason for this.” Suki said. It was night, the sky was jet black. The only source of light was the twinkle of the innumerable stars and the crescent moon reflecting its light onto the calm sea. They walked around and found little beach houses along the way. They were seeking a way on how they could get to stay in one. They looked around and found a building that looked like the main one. They walked in it looked like a beach styled hotel lobby with the Hlong desk and the front a few sofas to rest on. There was someone at the desk although they were sleeping. “Um excuse me but is there anyway we could get a room in one of the houses?” Hakoda said. The women looked up in shock. “Hakoda?.........”
“I THINK IT’S TIME!” Ursa said. The whole gaang woke up from her voice. “Katara, I thought about what you said, and well I think we should all help the Avatar”, Ursa said. Katara smiled at Ursa. She would have hated Aang going in there alone even if he could handle it by himself. “Thanks.”, Katara said. “Okay than we better get going!” Ursa said. They hopped on Appa and left to go to the village. When they landed the gaang could see exactly what Ursa meant. The place was full of fire nation soldiers. Katara hugged Aang tightly and kissed him gently on the lips. Aang replied with a kiss on her lips. They both blushed. “I know you can do this!” Katara said. They searched for someone they could talk to; someone who is in charge of the soldiers. Ursa pointed to a colossal sized building it looked very fancy it had to be that someone. This is where the governor lives. There were guards in front of the building. They attacked them but Aang blew them off with a powerful air blast that shot them about a mile away. Aang flew up some levels and found the governor just sitting there. “Oh it’s you avatar, I knew you’d come and find me here. What do you want?” the governor said annoyed. “I want you to stop controlling this village it’s not yours you have no right….” Aang said. “And what are you going to do about it Avatar” the governor said casually. “I won’t fight you have you just…” Aang said. “If I just stop controlling this village? Oh know that won’t do. I guess I’m going to have to fight you….I mean we’re going to have to fight you.” The governor said. “Aang turned around and saw about a hundred or more soldiers at the bottom of the building. For some reason Aang didn’t look nervous in fact he looked pretty carefree. Aang knew what he had to do. He flew down and looked out to all the soldiers. “Aang we can help you!” Katara said. They all looked in awe as Aang’s tattoos and eyes began to glow. Katara obviously knew now that Aang didn’t need his help now that he had control of the avatar state. Aang hovered in the air with a large sphere of air rotating around him. He soon made massive tornadoes that were so powerful that the soldiers stood no chance. Aang than created a heavy rain and used the water of it to wash the rest of the soldiers out. A few escaped and went after the gaang. Aang flew down and saw one about to attack Katara. Aang’s arrows increased in brightness when he saw this. The soldier looked at Aang in terror but, still with some dignity left shot a fire ball at Aang. Aang simply bended it away. Then he bended the ground that shot him high up in the air. Than too Aang’s disbelief………

Than too Aang’s disbelief as he turned around saw an army just as large or even larger than the one at the siege at the north pole. Aang started glowing again. He knew that he could not convince them to stop. He knew this because of their unremitting attacks. Aang began creating a giant air sphere around him. He began to hover high in the air. Than with a thunderous BOOM onto the ground; he used his earth bending and air bending to create a powerful earthquake. Although, this earth quake was not a normal earthquake; it was controlled by Aang. Which meant he could control where the force was pushed towards so, he would not hurt anyone but the enemy. It would probably be measured as a 6.0 to a 9.5 earthquake. Aang suddenly began to loose control of the avatar state; this would not be good because his avatar state was more powerful than ever. With all of his strength he got back his control. He became more conscious of what he was doing. He began to hover down at about 6 feet he saw a barren area full of severely injured soldiers. He began to hover down at about 6 feet he saw looked and slightly in front of him the governor. He looked up at the prevailing glowing avatar hovering before him. The governor said “You win avatar, I….I never thought such a young avatar could do what even the most powerful avatars did at their uppermost!” The governor was petrified by the avatar’s glowing power. He knew at any point, the avatar could just, with a swift of a hand kill him in seconds. Aang than touched the ground with a gentle thump. Aang began to stop glowing and he looked outwards and saw what he had done. Although, he knew it was for the best. All the villagers congratulated him on what he had done. They all celebrated on Aang’s behalf and rewarded him with many gifts. The gaang ran up to Aang. “Aang you were amazing!!! I’m so proud of you!!! There were so many soldiers how did you defeat them all there must have been hundreds of them?!” Katara said. She looked at Aang with admiration. She started realizing that Aang was only 13. She knew that the age that the avatar finds out they are the avatar is 16. Aang did everything and more (because of the fact that he learned spirit bending and had such great control over his avatar state). She couldn’t help but think about him all the time. Everything about him she loved. She couldn’t stand the fact that he loved her first. The avatar and her she thought to herself. The avatar out of all the girls he could have chosen it was her. She blushed at the thought. She took her arms and wrapped them around his neck. She couldn’t help it. Aang blushed intensely and put his hands around her waist. He could still not believe it. He had always like Katara but never realized she liked him back. He would always think of ways to attract her but something always got in the way. He never really knew if she really liked him. They both looked into each other’s eyes and kissed each other on the lips. Then Sokka and Toph walked in the room. They both blushed. They walked outside with the rest of the gaang. “So I guess you both are now boyfriend and girlfriend” Sokka said. He had a surprisingly casual look on his face. He wasn’t too surprised to see them doing this. He knew they liked each other he just wanted to make it official. “Yeah...” Katara and Aang said blushing even more. “Well, you two have fun” Toph said. “I have you now avatar.....

“I have you now avatar!” Azula said. The voice sounded familiar. Every time they heard it, it made them shiver. “Azula?!” Aang said. He turned around in shock when he saw a lightening strike coming right towards him. Instinctively, he redirected it at her. He tried angling the strike away when he realized what he had done but it was too late. The lightening that was shot back at Azula was probably 10 times stronger than the one shot Azula shot at him at the cross roads of destiny. He knew it was just the same if he killed her or Ozai. His eyes began to glow than his tattoos. He touched his glowing hands on her shoulders. Aang bended her fire bending ability out of her by using spirit bending. When Aang ceased his spirit bending and terminated his glow Azula was fell to the ground with a loud thump. Azula looked lifeless but she was only unconscious. Aang bended the water out of thin air. “Aang what are you doing?” Katara said. Aang put the water on the shoulder where Azula was injured. The water and his eyes and tattoos began to glow. Then the glow vanished. “Aang did you heal her?” Katara said. “Yes, yes I did.” Aang said. “I can’t believe you saved someone who is constantly trying to kill us!” Sokka said furiously. “Why?” Toph said. “It doesn’t matter. She won’t be able to kill us. I spirit bended her fire bending ability right out of her.” Aang said. Azula became conscious again. She was lying on a bed in a room. She looked around clueless of where she was. She felt a feeling that she never felt before. She felt powerless. She almost ran out of the room until she heard some people walking in. She sat up and saw four familiar faces. Everything came back to her. She remembered how the avatar redirected her lightening strike back at her with ferocious power. She remembered horrible pain in her shoulder. She remembered something else. “The avatar took my bending away but how?” she thought to herself. Than she looked back on something the avatar did to stop that pain. Did he heal her? Did he save her life even after she tried to do just the opposite? “Azula?” Katara said. Azula jumped out of the bed and tried fire bending back at them, but, nothing happened. She began to realize she lost her ability to fire bend. “AAAAAAAGH!!!” Azula cried. She sat weakly back on the bed. She stared at the ground. “Did you...avatar…save my life?” Azula said. Aang stared back at the ground unknowingly what to say. “Yeah Azula...Aang saved your life…” Katara said. Azula took a deep breath. She didn’t know what to say. She felt like without her bending she was nothing. “Why?” Azula said. “Because…” Aang said. The gaang didn’t know what to do so they just began to leave. “Wait!...” Azula said. The gaang slowly walked back in the room. “Thanks avatar…” Azula said. “Yeah…welcome” Aang mumbled. “Aang you didn’t do the wrong thing. I want to make myself clear on that.” Katara said. “I know it’s just the fact that I saved someone who was trying to kill me feels weird. I know it was the right thing. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I let her die.” Aang said. “Exactly, just like you didn’t kill the firelord.” Katara said. “Yeah...” Aang said. “Aang…” Katara said. “Yes Katara?” Aang said. “Come here.” Katara said. “Listen to me when I say this. Aang I have never been proud of anyone more than you. I love you Aang….” Katara said. “I love you too Katara. Katara thanks…” Aang said. They both blushed. Katara kissed him lightly on the lips. Aang kissed her back. Aang loved the fact that he grew. He was finally taller than Katara. He looked down into her beautiful ocean blue eyes as he hugged her tightly in his arms. She held on to him looking up into his eyes. She felt his strong arms wrap around her waist. Every time she looked at him she blushed. She loved being around him. She craved his presence more than ever.
The women looked up in shock. “Hakoda?” said the women. “Weren’t you in the war?” said the women. “Yes.” Hakoda said. “My name is June.” “Well June do you know if there is somewhere we can stay?” Hakoda said. “Yeah….follow me.” She led them to one of the beach houses. Hakoda paid the lady and she walked back in the lobby. They all got in their rooms and passed out on the beds. They all wondered where the others were and what the others the thought they were. Suki could not stop thinking about what Aang did though. Did he really do the right thing? Did he really have a good reason? She wondered about what Sokka thought. Did he think she was dead? These were all questions that she couldn’t take her mind off. Every time she tried to think of something else it just got harder and harder. Her mind was full of anxiety. She hated it, it was eating her alive. She said to herself about a hundred times that she would work it all out in the morning. However, every time she started thinking of ways on how she would work it out in the morning. Finally, after a couple hours past, she got to sleep. “NO…

“NO!” Suki said. She could feel the warmth of the sunlight pouring in through the window. She knew it was morning but, she didn’t want to wake up she was too tired. Although, she knew she had to. “Aaaaaaaaw!” Suki yawned. She opened eyes to the intense sunlight. Her eyes finally adjusted to the light. She walked to the door as her footsteps creaked on the wooden ground. She walked into the kitchen and saw everyone sitting there patiently without a care in the world. At least it seemed that way. She pulled out one of the shell styled chairs and sat down leisurely. “Do you remember that lady who led us to this place Suki?” Hakoda asked. “Uh yeah her name was June she was nice…” Suki said. “Well, I don’t know but….. I have been talking with the others and well she seems familiar….” Hakoda said. “What do you mean? Who do you think she is? What…I’m a little lost!” Suki said. “I think she was somehow part of the Dai Li….
“Aang! Katara!” Toph called. They were both behind they didn’t realized that. They looked back at each other and blushed. They caught up with Sokka and Toph. Toph and Sokka both knew what they were doing. The gaang walked outside and saw Ursa standing there. She was crying tears of joy. “Avatar you did it! I’m so proud of you! I knew you could do it!” Ursa said. They all did a group hug. They got to stay in the palace for the night because they had to continue their journey to Ember Island to meet up with the others. They looked up and saw the high stairs. Aang decided that he could let two people at a time come and fly up there on his glider. First, Sokka and Toph flew up with Aang then, Katara and Ursa. “Wow, that was amazing Aang!” Katara said. “You can fly with me tomorrow Katara.” Aang said. “I’d love to!” Katara said smiling. They walked in to the room, it had 5 beds. They all were so tired that they just fell asleep right when they laid on their beds. “Hey Aang…” Katara whispered. “Aaaaaaw….yeah Katara?” Aang mumbled. “I want to talk to you about something.” Katara said nervously. “Sure…” Aang said. He slipped out of the covers and followed Katara on to the porch deck. “What did you want to talk about?” Aang asked. “I first want to state one thing. I know you. I know you can handle great power. I want you to know that I believe in you Aang. I know you can do this whole avatar thing.” Katara said looking into his eyes. “Okay….so where are you going with this exactly?” Aang said. “Well….I just want to make sure that well….is Suki and the others at Ember Island? Aang I know you were in the avatar state and I know that it is hard to control. I just want to know if you only said that to...” Katara said. “To make Sokka feel better? Katara I had control of it but it was kind of hard but I do remember sending a current towards there. Hopefully they got there safely.” Aang said. “Aang I’m sure they did.” Katara said. “Hopefully your right…I mean I was in the avatar state…they must have made it there safely.” Aang said hesitantly. “I know they did Aang.” Katara said. “NO YOU DON’T KNOW THAT KATARA!!! You don’t know that!!! I BET THEY THINK I’M HORRIBLE!!!” Aang shouted. Aang’s eyes and tattoos began to glow. An air sphere began to form around Aang. Katara hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. “Aang calm down!” Katara said. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to I….” Aang said. “It’s ok Aang don’t worry.” Katara said. Aang smiled happily and wrapped his arms around her waist. Katara smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. They both kissed each other again on the lips of course. “What’s that?” said Aang. He was pointing to a room that seemed to glow in some way. “I don’t know lets find out.” Katara said. They opened the door. There was a fire place. The fire in it was lighting up the room. The fire had an almost cinnamon smell. At night it appeared to have a glow like tint to it. They both sat down on the thick red carpeted ground and felt the fire radiate the heat on them. “This is beautiful!” Katara said. “Yeah…” Aang said looking at her. Katara smiled and laughed she could tell he wasn’t paying attention to what she just said. Aang smiled back at Katara. “Watch this!” Aang said. Aang took some of the scented fire and bended it into a heart. “Oh that’s beautiful Aang!” Katara said. Aang looked at Katara. He loved it when she wore her fire nation outfit. She now wore it at night. He blushed at the thought. “I like what your wearing.” Aang said. “Thanks.” Katara said. Katara looked back at him. He was wearing his dark brown pants with and his shirt he wore during The Day of Black Sun. She liked how it strapped around him. She thought it made him look more manly than that other outfit he use to where. She blushed just as much as Aang did. Katara laid her head on his chest and fell asleep. Aang blushed and began fall asleep. They both slept peacefully through the night. They had no worry in the world because they knew they had each other. “It’s...

“It’s morning!” Sokka said. “Sokka?” Katara said. “He’s not here. He’s in the other room, but I think we should wake up.” Aang said. “Yeah, you’re right.” Katara said. They leisurely got ready and walked towards the kitchen. Ursa was in the kitchen making some Jook (rice cogee) for breakfast. She gave Katara Aang and herself a bowl of it. They both said thank you and Ursa replied by saying your welcome. “You have a long day ahead of you.” Ursa said. “Yeah…” Aang and Katara said. Sokka and Toph walked in the room. Sokka had an irritated look on his face. They both sat down and got some of the Jook. They both said thank you and Ursa replied again by saying your welcome. “Where did you two go last night?” Sokka said. Aang and Katara both explained. “Okay, well next time could you at least tell me before running off like that?” Sokka said. “Okay Sokka.” Aang said. “Thank you! When I woke up I had no idea where you were. Luckily, I found you two here.” Sokka said. “Sokka I told you they were fine. I told you they were here!” Toph said. “How do you know that?” Sokka said. “Sokka, I can feel it with my feet!” Toph said. “Oh…sorry forgot that.” Sokka said. Everyone giggled to Sokka’s cluelessness. “We need to get a move on. If we want to get to Ember Island soon we have to. Is everyone ready?” Sokka said. “Yeah…” Katara and Aang said. “Yeah!” Toph said. “Okay, that’s good.” Sokka said. Ursa told them she was planning a journey to meet her son Zuko. She also said she would talk to Azula. They all said goodbye to Ursa and got on Appa. They landed on a beach to take a rest. Aang and Katara practiced their water bending moves for a little. “We’re going to need some rest. I think we should sleep for the night here and travel in the morning.” Sokka said. “Okay.” Aang and Katara said. When they were all deep asleep Katara walked over to Aang’s tent. “Aang, wake up.” Katara whispered. “Yeah” Aang said and then yawned. “Do you know if well…ummmm…remember when you said I could fly with you on your glider today?” Katara said. Aang smiled with joy. “Yeah, I do.” Aang said. Aang quietly walked out of the tent to get his staff. He opened it up. Katara held onto the left side of the glider while Aang put his arm around her to control that side as well. Aang shot up in the air. “This is incredible!” Katara said. “Thanks.” Aang said. He grinned at her. Aang loved it when he impressed her. Aang than picked up on speed and held onto Katara securely so she wouldn’t fall. “Yeah!!! This is AWESOME!!!” Katara said. Aang did a few tricks but not too extreme because Katara was on it. They both kissed each other. They began to just talk about everything with each other. Aang told Katara about the times when he lived with the other air benders. Katara told Aang about the times when she lived in the southern water tribe. They always had something to talk about with each other. They both told each other secrets from their past with each other. Little ones like when they visited Kyoshi Island. Aang told her why he went in the water with the Unagi. He said how he was trying to get her to pay attention to him. Katara told him about the time when she stole the water bending scroll. She said that she was jealous that he could do the trick so easily. They both laughed. “I think we should be getting back.” Katara said. “Yeah, your right!” Aang said. They had been flying for hours. Aang quickly flew back to the beach and they both got back in their tents. Sokka woke everyone up. They all got themselves up and ready. They all hopped on Appa. “Yip, yip!” Aang said and they flew off. They were flying for a while. The air was warm but there was a slight sea breeze which cooled them down. The sunlight reflecting the sea made it have a light blue hue to it. Everyone couldn’t wait to find the others.
“I think she was somehow part of the Dai Li. It really doesn’t matter I just was wondering you know where people went after the war and all.” Hakoda said. “Oh.” Suki said. “Do you think they’re looking for us? Do you think they know where we are?” Suki said. “I’m sure they are Suki. Hopefully, they know where we are.” Hakoda said apprehensively. They heard a bellow like sound come out of no where. It sounded like Appa. Suki ran out side and saw at the beach was Appa and the gaang. The others followed her as she ran out towards them. “Sokka!” Suki said. “Suki!” Sokka said. Aang was relieved that they were there. They had been looking all around the island and finally found them. “Dad!” Sokka and Katara said. They both went up to Hakoda and they all did a family hug. “Aang, why did you bring us here?” Suki said. “It was too dangerous…Ozai was going mad…Look I handled him myself…I didn’t want you all to get hurt. Ozai was shooting a bunch of lightening strikes and…” Aang said. “We get it Aang we know you did the right thing.” Suki said. Aang was almost in tears. He held back his avatar state. Like before when he began to glow, Katara hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. “It’s okay Aang.” Katara said. After the reunion the gaang went to the main building. Aang told them he was the avatar and they gave them the Royalty Beach house for free. They followed June to the beach house. For some reason she seemed nervous. They walked in the beach house. The place was very luxurious. They looked around the place and all of its rooms. Everyone had the same thing on their minds. What was next for them? How long were they going to stay there?
