that's usually why I just do things as they come up.

And that's why my plans must be complicated yet vague. ^^

and yet, you'd be amazed how many things I've pulled off that have gone without a plan, and turned out well...
it's how I go to work every day for one thing.

Not planning is fine if you don't have a specific, detailed goal. The reason I plan what Ido is that life is way too short and way too pointless to waste on trivial matters, so I ensure that I can do what I want, when I want, to make the best of whatever time I have left. Which could be anything from 3 to 80 more years. (Assuming I die a natural death, that is...)

That's why I always carefully observe a situation to see what I can do to use it to my advantage.
All in all, it works well for me, because I can pretty much make anything turn in my favor. It's why I always say "I win".
I mean, even this forum... I was banned and villainized only two months ago... and now look--I'm back. Just another piece of evidence/proof that I can turn even the worst situation to my advantage.

What advantage, exactly? You didn't really gain anything from it...

just because I don't directly state that I got an advantage doesn't mean that I didn't get something out of it.
but if you want to know what I gained from it, I got my own forum, which currently actually has more life than the original [this one] it also got me into learning how to manage that sort of thing, how to bring people in, and it got me some new and improved friends.
...to say the least.
Incidentally, I also know of a way that I could likely recover the Sanaki thread, but that would take a little cooperation from aike and a little work on my part. ~Azula~

And what would it entail, exactly?

well, the only thing that involves aike would be making sure he's alright with the operations. and then a bunch of techno-geek stuff and a little bit of knowing where to turn...
either way, even if it WAS back, I'd probably just archive it and then leave it. This site has lost its purpose.

points for obscurity then. ^^
it would just involve a certain contact at Support to see if it's (a) possible, (b) allowed, and (c) not been too long. ~Iroh~
