the dai li are loyal to who ever rules them, so they are both good and bad, depending who controlls them. For example, Avatar Kyoshi first created them, so she ruled them for a while, so they were good. but then with princess Azula ruling them then they are bad. so they are bad

Just like Azula said whoever controls the dai le controls ba sing se and it would depend on who's controling the dai lee if the dai lee are good or bad.

I think... They are following a NEUTRAL JIN!!! Yay I'm crazy king Seriously, it could be this way. Think of it. They got in Azula's trust (you say that Azula is cunning and cold-minded... but she can be actually blinded... by her own self-confidence and belief in fact that she can't be defeated). They've come to the very heart of the Fire Nation and pleased Azula by showing her their "loyalty" when attacking gaang. It's pretty possible they're just listening... waiting for the right moment to STRIKE!!! from the ideal place... Now that would be cool ending! Dai Li ending Firelord and his daughter... everybody thanking them for their help in crucial moment... then Dai Li smiling mysteriously and dissapearing...) naw they are scared shit of azula and probably more so of the firelord. they dont want to get hurt so they choose the winning side... its all long fengs fault. he should have just did Azula and the girls then sent them home to the FN lol ^_^ (sorry for inapropriate language used in this post) |
