here's some food for thought: do you really think the airbenders lived at the temples? ~Iroh~ i belive that the temples were their residence and that, being nomads and monks, could leave it behind like a hermit shell in search of a new one if necesarry. |

The air nomads race was a complicated one. Even I dont know much about the choices that the airbenders were given. When an airbender earns his tattoos, he is given two choices. Leave the temple and start a life on his own, or stay in the temple to teach the new arrivals and help keep bison safe. NO, the airbenders arent orphans, but ill tell you in a new topic.

i think it may be the only place they LIVED, per say, but not the only place they WENT they're monks not hermits. lol
