Probally the temples were the only place. The air nomads were good people so banishment was out of the question. Also Aang is the last known airbender so if they lived in othe places they would surely be known.

Definitely NO
It wasn't banishment, it's just them being NOMADS
They moved constantly, they didn't even live in their temples, it was where monks teached their youngs
If you go to boarding school, are you planning to live there for a lifetime?
Also, Southern and Northern temples were "male" temples, while W and E - "female" ones. How can a nation live and continue breeding if men and women are always divided???

No.
the airbenders only went to the air temples to learn of their history and airbending if they were born airbenders.
after their education, they went along to the other nations to live and have their life.
so that gives me more of a hint that Aang isn't the last airbender, becasue they didnt all live in the air temples.
the fire nation might've eliminated most of the airbenders, but not all

Can't agree with any of the choices. The Air NOMADS were just that, nomads. They traveled all over the world. The temples were just gathering places.

Monks lived in airtemples so did nomads, but they were most of the time traveling. Maybe famillies with childeren lived in tempels, But when the kids grow up and got on there own the parents maybe got on a jouney again. Well my conclusion is that nomads lived everywhere and nowhere

I think there were little towns and villages in the mountains around the temples. Otherwise it would be a big surface for nothing!

I agree.
But during the sieges, like they're monks and they may have gone back to defend the temples (out of love)?
I'm pretty sure that male and female airbenders wouldn't hook up to have kids, but maybe airbenders are kids who are born a certain way and are just brought to the temples by random people (or they could be orphaned kids).

The people who bend air were nomads meaning they traveled a lot. So I don't think they only lived in the air temples. The airtempeles were places where they came to worship or to refuel. Before they hit the roads again.

i agree, the temples were just the home of monks, other then that the air nomads travelled around the world.
