You replied like that to other threads. lol I'm not being mean or anything, but it's kinda getting old, and this site requires more lively responses, as evident by our efforts to make this site more active. THAT aside....

I like the argument being presented here: That Katara might NOT be THE best waterbender because of an existing Avatar's accomplishments.
That could hold true because (well, in my opinion anways), knowing that an Avatar should ideally be very proficient in the 4 bending arts, a FULLY 100% accomplished Avatar should be equipped with years and years of experience and high-leveled mastery of the bending arts, mixing combinations of 2, 3, 4 elements at once, and having a mastered Avatar State at your disposal.

But then again... What does being "the best" mean anyways? Does it mean to dominate in the "X vs. Y" section of the forums? xD
After all, Katara IS an awesome Waterbender in her own right. She got very skillful in a matter of days after lessons with Pakku, and never ceased to stop improving her skills and techniques, as well as utilizing Bloodbending to a very high degree of skill.

And let's not forget that in ATLA, a fight depends on the user's ability and strategy, as the elements are all balanced. Take note that Katara beat Azula because of using her waterbending in a trap as oppose to offense, whereas Azula blindly rushed (yes, I know the circumstances of that fight, just an example).

Since we're comparing Katara to an Avatar in terms of Waterbending, I'm just wondering if Bloodbending needs to be part of an Avatar's repertoire of Waterbending skills.

Hmm... Well anyways, here's my answer to this thread's question: Currently, Katara is potentially a better Waterbender than Aang as a Waterbender (unless Avatar Stated), but Pakku could still be the "best" alive waterbender currently. It's possible that Katara will eventually be better than Pakku, and might even take his place in the White Lotus, but until then, I think the "best" title goes to Pakku.

LOL!!! i did it again i was about to post it but anyway... it depens right, if katara is the Best waterbender.... what about the avatars... would she be better then them at water bending, im just thinking about that just then cuz they teach them the waterbender but can they beat them back on what they learned... remember in the episode of

"The Cave of Two Lovers" Katara and Aang was in the water practicing water bending and katara was teaching aang about the new move... the "Octupuse" and after that they had like a mini battle but afterwards aang got katara with a water tentacil and he could have just thrown her into that massive rock beside them.... so im just thinking about so just think about, she could not been the best waterbender

How do we know Pakku couldn't bloodbend. It was illegal so he probably didn't talk about it. And just because that one lady knew doesn't mean nobody else knew. In a world full of benders I doubt it could be one 15 year old. Maybe after Pakku died she could be one of the best but their are still the people who he has been training all his life.
So i don't think so
