i first want to tell you that this is my first fanfic so constructive critisism only. also this is from chapter 14 on(right after the firebending masters) and i do not own avatar or anything else i may mention in here.
I was laying awake that night as I had done sense the day of black sun. it wasn't Sokka's snoring or Toph’s thrashing about and mutters in the night……though I do worry about that……….it was Aang what he had done on the day of black sun was so...surprising?
Is that the right word. Did others see it coming and if so why was I so clueless? It felt natural but, weird maybe even wonderful. Maybe that‘s what‘s been making Aang so stressed.
I hope not he’s had enough in his life without me making more stress. Focus katara. Think back ‘you will marry a powerful bender’ maybe it crossed my mind as a joke for a very short period of time but, it never seriously occurred to me…maybe sub-consciously I knew all along?
And what about in the cave of two lovers? I’d rather kiss you then die. Such painful words but he looked so….awkward and innocent I had to forgive him.
Then ceremonial dance……. Maybe I did know sub-consciously. I think I need to bend this out.
I walked outside to be greeted by the full-moon blood bending -- just another reminder of something else I was completely oblivious of. I walked over to the fountain decorated with flying bison, and pulled a ball of water from it. The only symbol I made was an arrow
“Huh” I sighed aloud as I let the water fall back into the fountain. I began to pace.
“Alright Katara get yourself together.” I told myself aloud., “what does any of this mean?” I had been asking myself for the past couple nights. It didn’t bother me so much that he kissed me ……actually I would have loved for it to have gone on longer……it bothered me that I was so unaware to it. To his feelings.
I felt a someone behind me. It was Toph.
“Toph how did you get out here. Are your feet healed? Are you O.K.?
“Relax, Sugar Queen,” she said coolly as she sat on the rocky soil, “And no I am not O.K. you need to learn how to whisper and stay in one spot while you think because since I’ve been at this temple every night you walk around or make a splashy sounds with that water and I can’t get to sleep. I mean I am blind and know it’s night time and chose to respect everyone‘s time to sleep.”
“Toph my name is not Sugar Queen” I said for an unlimited amount of times then added, “And quit dancing around the subject are your feet better or not?”
“No, can’t you tell it hurts when I ease down gently and bump into things. I felt like I was dying on the way here. And even though my feet are burned I am still very sensitive to movement and noise.” she added as she sensed me about to ask that question.
“Toph you know I’m at my strongest when it’s a full-moon? And water benders harness their abilities from the moon.” I stated. It isn’t a lie…but it also isn’t why I’m out here either. Please just go to bed.
“We both know that’s not why your out here,” she stated bluntly
“then why, Toph, would I be by a water fountain on a full-moon when I could be sleeping?,” I asked
“Because your worried about Aang,” she said.
How did she know? Was she spying on us? “ Where you spying on us?,” I asked turning red. I am bewildered at her ability to know something that is completely none of her business. I’m happy she can’t see my face, but she can probably sence my heart beat speed way up.
“It’s not like I can turn my feet or ears off. I felt the whole thing” she made a smug grin, “And I heard part of it too.”
“Toph we obviously need our sleep we are babbling on about things that never happened.” I stated. Please don’t hear my heart beat.
“I can tell your lying” she said in a sly way.
“Do you need me to carry you to the room it’s not doing any good for you to walk on them” I asked. as if I hadn’t heard that a classic Toph line.
She refused and no mater what I said she wanted to walk on her own. Finally back at the room. I slip into bed and drift into a peaceful sleep.
It was near noon when sokka burst into the room
“Katara when are you going to get up and cook some food. I’m starving.” sokka said as he talked in a pathetic voice.
“Sorry Sokka” I said. Don’t be angry you know haw Sokka can’t stand to be without food. “Tell the everyone I’m coming in a second” he can be so dramatic sometimes.
I got up and stretched out. I looked over to the gang’s beds. Looks like I’m the last one up. amazing since Toph usualy stays asleep way longer….asleep or just playing sloth--opossum?
“bout time suger queen” was the first thing I heard when I stepped out.
“Toph you don’t need to be so rude…especially considering you were the one keeping me up last night.”
“What” she practically screamed sitting up from her laying down position.
“calm down, Toph,” Aang said trying to avoid an argument. Aang I thought remembering the day of black sun
“Could we just hurry up I’m dying here.” sokka said. does he have to be so dramatic. I looked over to the side and saw Zuko sitting on a rock listening to the whole conversation. I dare you to speak.
“alright, alright,” I said as I went for the fire that some one had started. leave it to sokka to think of himself.
Thirty minutes later the rest of everyone was back to what we call the commons. And everyone was served rice and vegetables. Sokka grabbed the first one.
“finnaly, food.” he said as he dug in.
I started to hand the others a bole. Aang was second to last I handed him the bole as he heavily thanked me.
“your welcome.” I said. Toph snickered behind me. I wish she wouldn’t do that.
“It’s not funny Toph.” I said angrily.
“what’s not funny,” sokka asked. Aang blushed.
“Yeah katara what’s not funny?” Toph asked “I thought it was hilarious,” she said with a smirk.
“What’s not funny?” Zuko asked right in front of me read to take the bole I was about to hand him.
“stay out of this,” I yelled at him shoving his bole at him.
“toph would you stop? Can’t you see that I’m busy?” I said momentarily forgetting she was blind.
“Right katara I ‘see’ that your busy,” she said sarcastically.
“Sorry toph” I said adding, “and stop acting so rude.”
“me rude?, look how you just yelled at poor Zuko after sokka s=did the exact same thing, I think you should reconsider which one of us is ‘rude’ ”
“toph I’ve had it with your snide remarks,” I said standing up abruptly almost knocking over the rock that was cooking the food
“if you have a problem let’s finnish it right…..” she trailed off.
“what is it toph?” aang asked
“someones here”
“is it azula? How did she know we were here? I knew you hadn’t turned good!” I threw at Zuko
“it wasn’t me me I swear!” he defended
“shush if I fealt azula I would have said, ‘guys it’s azula’ not someone.”toph said sarcastically, “Katara you need to be less paranoid” she added.
“I agree katara, this can’t be to good for your water bending. Or the group.”
How can you say that when you are part of the problem? What have you done to keep me calm?
Toph smirked. stay cool katara, you don’t want to erupt into a full on fight.
Everyone was quiet as we awaited for what ever it was to show itself.

She felt the rumbling. It was something huge and fast. Katara was shifting I her spot.
The rumblings are coming faster. Where have I felt this before? It seems so Familiar yet so alien.
Got it!
“Guys! it’s Iroh!”
“Wait I thought you said it was big and fast?” Sokka Questioned skeptical sokka.
“Well it is,” I answered back. “an he’s being followed by one hundred fire benders! And they are not on our side.” I ended. Jumping up only to fall to the ground again in agony.
“we’ve gotta go befor they find us!” Toru yelled.
“No, we can’t abandon uncle!” Zuko yelled out.
“Zuko I agree with you we can’t leave Iroh behind.” I said
“no we have to go,” Katara said. she is forcing some pretty rotten emotions at him right now.
“look sugar queen, we can’t leave Iroh behind. And besides he could be valuable to aang when we attack the firelord,” never thinking sensibly, always like a mother protecting her child. I’m surprised aang likes her. Sometimes I can barely stand her.
“Toph Katara’s right we can’t risk this” sokka said here we go cue aang
“Toph on any other day I would agree with you, but your injured an--” I interrupted aang
“aang you are always siding with Sugar Queen before thinking about the possibilities. Iroh could make a difference in this war! And plus Horu could be the Earth bender in this one.” Fight that I dare you.
“I have ti say..she has a point.” Aang put in.
“alright we will stay and fight then.” sokka said.
“thank you” I said time for katara to over react.
“Guys we don’t have a sufficient amount of rest to beat off anyone.” Katara defended. she knows she’s beat.
“to late they’re here” I said. Then suddenly the doors burst open.
I tried to stand and fight only to fall back. Then I heard katara’s water whip hit a couple guys. They fell to the ground. She ran to me and picked me up ducking behind appa. She bagan trying to heal my feet. I felt a fire soldier fall to the ground as aand sent an earth wall up. I have to admit he did build a sturdy wall.
They made it through. Iroh was on our side fighting now. we’ve won this battle.
Suddenly katara leapt up at the sound of aang falling.
“Aang” was all she said. Thin I heard a swooshing noise. And a screaming Katara was flung to the air Aang jumped up as The firebenders retreated and the gang followed them. I carefully stood up remembering how I had stood yesterday. I do admit my feet did feel a little. Better. I did a few stepps forward befor the gang returned Iroh included, but katara was missing. Aang was crying and I no longer fealt the rumble of the fire benders. they took Katara!
“they took her just like that” Aang said. I could hear the crying in his voice.

I woke up in a cell full of stuffy air. it’s stuffy in here. I must be in the fire lord prison. the door swung open.
“Hello” I heard a cold voice say rather bordly
I sat up, crossed my arms and looked to the side. she’s not getting anything out of me.
“what no interduction?” she said in the same voice. “I guess I’ll have to pry you open. Just like I did that make-up wearing freak.
Blue flames sproted from her finger. the full moon was last night, all I need to do is keep quiet for 27 more nights and I shoul be able to…no I can’t.
I was snapped out of my thoughts as the blue flames came closer.
“tell me where are your friends headed? She asked me playing with the blue fire on her fingertips. I will not talk to you. I will not talk to you. I will not talk to you.
I pushed my head further to the side. I felt the fire disapear. Then hot hands on my arms. Every passing second they got hotter until I could barely stand it.
“Still no talking? This will be interesting.” she said as she took her hands off my arms.
They were burned. I didn’t want to move them, but to act strong I grabbed her collar.
“I will never tell you where aang is” I said pushing it back. She seemed taken aback, but only for a moment.
“Aang? Is that his name?” she asked knowing full well it was his name. “what a stupid name,” she said laughing a little.
“You take that back,” I said standing up. no this is exactly what I shouldn’t have done.
She stood up “maybe you should think about your next move before you make it,” she advised coldly, blue fire shooting from her fingertips.
I sat back down. Keep cool katara. Don’t do anything stupid . I looked at the ground.
“I see, you two aren’t just friends are you?” she asked. she’s enjoying this.
I remained looking down until she picked up my head forcing me to stair at her. She looked into my eyes.
“one’s whole life story can be told in the eyes” she said after a moment.
“yours is simple. Started out humble. found the avatar. Fell in love.” she said, smirking. “and the very next thing you say will be a lie,” she added.
“I’ll tell you where aang is,” I spat at her.
She looked at me expectantly then realizing this was the next thing I said she grinned.
“Do you think your funny?” she asked I heard a rufling in the darkness. “I think your hilarious.” she said knife cutting deep into my arm.

I hate not being able to see. At least on the ground I could feel the rumbling. Why didn’t we look for what’s her name after she was captured? Sokka knows where she is now so we could have gone at any moment. And what was up with them suddenly leaving? They could have captured any of us yet they went for Katara.
“Guys, it’s a trap!” I yelled a little to loudly.
“what’s a trap?!” sokka yelled to me.
“they took katara to capture us!” I said back.
“I don’t care aang said we’re finding her.” he said. he’s going crazy.
“Aang you’d rather put the whole world in danger and kill yourself to rescue Katara?” I practacly yelled at him.

What Toph said cut me deep. I remembered my chocra. Training not to long ago. I had to give up Katara. the scary thing is I did it. I let go of her and something bad almost happened. Something bad did happed
I remembered the kiss. Tears streamed from my eyes.
“yes, I would,” I said
“your crazy” Toph yelled pointing in my general direction. “if we were going to sacrafice all that we were working up to, why hadn’t we just gone for what’s her name after she was captured?”
“her name is Sukki.” sokka said with quiet anger.
“She’s probably in the same jail.” I said. I’m going to win, and if they don’t want to come they can walk.
The whole bison was quiet. Especialy since we had left behind everyone but, me, sokka, Toph, and Zuko.
Why did we take toph along? She can’t do anything. so i guess you've mastered metal bending. she had to come along. I think she’s better now anyway. At least a little. And why is Zuko being so quiet? Did he want to stay with Iroh? No one forced him. I think he could be meditating.
A cloud hit my face. water went all on my face.
Katara i'm coming and no one is going to stop me.

Why Hadn’t we gone for suki? Does Aang think she’s not a good enough Warrior? He’s seen her fight. Why did toph even go there. It’s apparent she has no respect for anyone else.
“Aang, why hadn’t we gone for Suki?” I asked.
Toph gave a little snicker.
“Honestly sometimes I believe you could be the clueless person in the world.” she said messaging her blistering feet. they realy were getting better.
All was quiet again.
“Aang?” I asked once again.
“You never said anything.” Aang said.
Had I said anything? If I didn’t I was sure I meant to. How could you let Suki skip your mind? You are the worst person ever.
I fought back a tear as I often did thinking about suki. I looked out at the clouds.
There’s got to be another reason Aang’s not telling me. Apperently Toph knows. Does Zuko?

I layed back looking at my hands. They sure are blistered. Aang please hurry up. I won’t last much longer. I looked out of my window. Maybe I can take some water out of the plants.
It hurt and the water was jerky but I finaly got enough to at least heal my hands.
It looks just like Aang’s first fire bending attempt.
I started to cry.
Aang please come quick. I don’t know how much longer I’ll last. All I know is that it can’t be long.

We’re almost there Katara. Just hold on.
I landed Appa.
“Wait here buddy.” I said as I hid him behind a shrub.
“Toph do you feel her?” I asked
She sat still a moment. Then stomped her hand down on the ground. She did this once more.
“no” she said sadly, as everyone let out a long breath. “but, I do feel someone familiar. “Suki!” she said.
“where is she?” He asked a little to aggressively.
“She’s right there on the corner, I could take down that wall easily.” she said.
She took a couple steps which I knew heart her, then she stuck her fingers in and bent it back.
Sokka rushed in.
“Suki” I heard him yell.

“Sokka” she said weakly.
“suki I’m here your safe now.” I said getting a little sad myself
“I’m dying soka” she said bluntly.
“no your not, your alive and we’re together now. You. Will. Not. Die.” I said even though I wasn’t totally convinced myself. Then I leaned down and gave her a soft kiss. She kissed me back. I didn’t want to come apart but I pulled away.
“we have to get her some food” I said. “come on Zuko help me get her on appa.” I pleaded.
“Zuko?” she asked a little stronger.
“he’s good now” I said back. Don’t worry suki we’ll get you out of here.”
“where’s Katara?” she asked as we lifted her up to aang and toph who put her on appa.
“she’s been captured” I explained, hopping on and giving her a carrot. She couldn’t even lift her arm up. I sat her up in my lap and fed her the carrot. Once Zuko was on we took off. Aang was crying.
“where could she be, Zuko?” he asked. I gave suki another bite.
“Well there is another prison not far from here, but it has the most guards on patrole.”
“why hadn’t you told us that in the first place” Aang blew up. Suki jumped, Toph snickered, I gave suki another bite, Zuko sat there, thinking.
“Wishful thinking.” he said.
“Gahhhhh” Aang said then shot a blast of air to the left.

I was on the ground. Hands supporting my weight. It was hard to breath and I w Bleeding from pretty much everywhere.
“How did the grass get like that outside?” Azula asked me, again.
“I don’t know.” I said in-between breaths. We were in a different room, but I knew what she was talking about.
“looks like we underestimated our little Waterbender.” she said coldly, making the last word slow.
Aang please hurry.
“Oh well it’ll all be for the best. I guess sacrificing a little grass is worth getting the avatar.” she said standing behind me.
Oh no it’s a trap. How could I be so stupid. Ahhhhhhh stupid, stupid, stupid. Aang Don’t come.
She felt my hair. “this must have taken years to grow out, and weigh you down quite a lot. Let’s end that problem. Shell we?” she said stretching my hair up and sending blue fire at it. It was cut down to my ears. My hair that had taken me my whole life to grow and hours to fix.
Stay calm Katara.
But that didn’t work.
I stood up and threw a punch at her, feeling a lot lighter the usual. She flew to the wall.
“the next move you make will be a mistake” she said, fire sprouting out of her finger tips. “I suggest you think before you move.”
I sat down, with out the friendly feeling of my hair bouncing on my back. I sighed. I’ll never be able to win.

“Just a little further buddy” I yelled. We bagan to fly, but very low. I saw i

Toph jumped down. “I’m feeling some big sugar queen in here.” toph stated right as she hit the ground. I knew it hurt.
“I’ll stay with suki.” Sokka said.
“Sokka go get your sister.” Suki said. she’s really getting stronger.

“no” I said, as much as I didn’t want to leave those two alone so I added. “she’s way in the building and if you are going to run fast then the only people you could carry would be me and Katara. So I say that Snoozles and the prince should stay behind.” wheeew that was a mouth full. And it must have sounded pretty awkward. Comeon toph stay with it. We’re rescuing sugar queen not winning Sokka’s hart.
“Fair enough” Aang said.
I hopped on his back and we were off. When we got to the entrance I banged on the wall to see where to go. Then we awkwardly went through the building. Surprisingly we didn’t bump into anyone, but hey I don’t know what it’s like to have sight, so I guess it’s just natural.
We busted throught the doors, well I did. I jumped down. She was pretty bad, and lighter for some reason. Aang’s hart rate sprang way up.
“Katara?” he asked.
“No time,” I said hopping towards azula and bending metal around her. “try to break outa that one.” I said hopping on Aang’s back. Katara was already in his Hands. Pretty soon we were in the air and aperantly someone forgot that Appa was tiered so we ended up crashing in a cave.

“Hello suki,” I said, to be polite and buy some time with my thoughts.
“Hey Katara,” she said back to me. We were sitting Side by side on a cave wall since that was pretty much all we were capable of.
“I’m Hungry, are you hungry?” I asked, ok now things are becoming awkward.
“no I just ate something thank you” she said politly back. I guess she wants to go to sleep.
“I’m going to get something to--” but I was cut off by aang bringing me a couple carrots.
“that’s all we have katara.” he said, “well at least that’s the only food type we have.” he said as he shot a look at Sokka, who at that moment was coming over to suki with his sleeping bag.
“Hey, don’t blame me, I like carrots.” sokka said
“Aang settle down this Is really sweet of you.” I said to him. “help me over to appa I want to get my sleeping bag.” I made the excuse to get him away from everyone so I could talk to him.
“I’ll get it.” he said brightly.
“no really Aang just help me over there” I said.
“but I--” aang started being cut off by toph.
“Yeah suger queen you don’t need to go all the way over there to tell aang How you really feel. I can here you fine weather your over there or over here.” toph said in a matter o factly kind of way. your lucky I’m down right now or you and yue would be sharing the moon..
I sighed. “Aang we need to talk.”
He purked up.
“Aang,”
He turned to me. I kissed him. Sokka’s jaw dropped, Suki was asleep, Zuko staired, and toph snickered. Aang shut his eyes and kissed me back. I felt like it would last forever, and it probably would have if sokka hadn’t pulled us apart.
“Sokka!” Aang, toph and I yelled. why did toph yell.
“toph?” I asked. “oh whatever” she said then walked a couple feet away to make her tent.
“Katara! Aang! Your 14 and 12! What the hell do you think your doing?” He yelled at us.
“That’s exactly it! I’m 14! I should be able to do what I want!” I yelled stepping toward him, Don’t fall Don’t Fall.
“Katara you can’t just go kiss Aang, without any warning.” he yelled
“Actualy I started it” Aang said
“WHAT” Sokka yelled, “YOU THINK SINCE YOU’RE THE AVATAR YOU CAN JUST GO DO WHATEVER?”
“What is everyone yelling at?” Suki asked.
“Just Business that sokka shouldn’t stick his head into.” I yelled almost loosing my Balance.
“then why don’t you just let her do what she wants? She is 14 by the way.” Suki said wisely.
Soka opened his mouth but closed it settling down by suki.
All is well now. I should have done this a long time ago,

“What” she practically screamed sitting up from her laying down position.
“calm down, Toph,” Aang said trying to avoid an argument. Aang I thought remembering the day of black sun
“Could we just hurry up I’m dying here.” sokka said. does he have to be so dramatic. I looked over to the side and saw Zuko sitting on a rock listening to the whole conversation. I dare you to speak.
“alright, alright,” I said as I went for the fire that some one had started. leave it to sokka to think of himself.
Thirty minutes later the rest of everyone was back to what we call the commons. And everyone was served rice and vegetables. Sokka grabbed the first one.
“finnaly, food.” he said as he dug in.
I started to hand the others a bole. Aang was second to last I handed him the bole as he heavily thanked me.
“your welcome.” I said. Toph snickered behind me. I wish she wouldn’t do that.
“It’s not funny Toph.” I said angrily.
“what’s not funny,” sokka asked. Aang blushed.
“Yeah katara what’s not funny?” Toph asked “I thought it was hilarious,” she said with a smirk.
“What’s not funny?” Zuko asked right in front of me read to take the bole I was about to hand him.
“stay out of this,” I yelled at him shoving his bole at him.
“toph would you stop? Can’t you see that I’m busy?” I said momentarily forgetting she was blind.
“Right katara I ‘see’ that your busy,” she said sarcastically.
“Sorry toph” I said adding, “and stop acting so rude.”
“me rude?, look how you just yelled at poor Zuko after sokka s=did the exact same thing, I think you should reconsider which one of us is ‘rude’ ”
“toph I’ve had it with your snide remarks,” I said standing up abruptly almost knocking over the rock that was cooking the food
“if you have a problem let’s finnish it right…..” she trailed off.
“what is it toph?” aang asked
“someones here”
“is it azula? How did she know we were here? I knew you hadn’t turned good!” I threw at Zuko
“it wasn’t me me I swear!” he defended
“shush if I fealt azula I would have said, ‘guys it’s azula’ not someone.”toph said sarcastically, “Katara you need to be less paranoid” she added.
“I agree katara, this can’t be to good for your water bending. Or the group.”
How can you say that when you are part of the problem? What have you done to keep me calm?
Toph smirked. stay cool katara, you don’t want to erupt into a full on fight.
Everyone was quiet as we awaited for what ever it was to show itself.

She felt the rumbling. It was something huge and fast. Katara was shifting I her spot.
The rumblings are coming faster. Where have I felt this before? It seems so Familiar yet so alien.

“Guys! it’s Iroh!”
“Wait I thought you said it was big and fast?” Sokka Questioned skeptical sokka.
“Well it is,” I answered back. “an he’s being followed by one hundred fire benders! And they are not on our side.” I ended. Jumping up only to fall to the ground again in agony.
“we’ve gotta go befor they find us!” Toru yelled.
“No, we can’t abandon uncle!” Zuko yelled out.
“Zuko I agree with you we can’t leave Iroh behind.” I said
“no we have to go,” Katara said. she is forcing some pretty rotten emotions at him right now.
“look sugar queen, we can’t leave Iroh behind. And besides he could be valuable to aang when we attack the firelord,” never thinking sensibly, always like a mother protecting her child. I’m surprised aang likes her. Sometimes I can barely stand her.
“Toph Katara’s right we can’t risk this” sokka said here we go cue aang
“Toph on any other day I would agree with you, but your injured an--” I interrupted aang
“aang you are always siding with Sugar Queen before thinking about the possibilities. Iroh could make a difference in this war! And plus Horu could be the Earth bender in this one.” Fight that I dare you.
“I have ti say..she has a point.” Aang put in.
“alright we will stay and fight then.” sokka said.
“thank you” I said time for katara to over react.
“Guys we don’t have a sufficient amount of rest to beat off anyone.” Katara defended. she knows she’s beat.
“to late they’re here” I said. Then suddenly the doors burst open.
I tried to stand and fight only to fall back. Then I heard katara’s water whip hit a couple guys. They fell to the ground. She ran to me and picked me up ducking behind appa. She bagan trying to heal my feet. I felt a fire soldier fall to the ground as aand sent an earth wall up. I have to admit he did build a sturdy wall.
They made it through. Iroh was on our side fighting now. we’ve won this battle.
Suddenly katara leapt up at the sound of aang falling.
“Aang” was all she said. Thin I heard a swooshing noise. And a screaming Katara was flung to the air Aang jumped up as The firebenders retreated and the gang followed them. I carefully stood up remembering how I had stood yesterday. I do admit my feet did feel a little. Better. I did a few stepps forward befor the gang returned Iroh included, but katara was missing. Aang was crying and I no longer fealt the rumble of the fire benders. they took Katara!
“they took her just like that” Aang said. I could hear the crying in his voice.

I woke up in a cell full of stuffy air. it’s stuffy in here. I must be in the fire lord prison. the door swung open.
“Hello” I heard a cold voice say rather bordly
I sat up, crossed my arms and looked to the side. she’s not getting anything out of me.
“what no interduction?” she said in the same voice. “I guess I’ll have to pry you open. Just like I did that make-up wearing freak.
Blue flames sproted from her finger. the full moon was last night, all I need to do is keep quiet for 27 more nights and I shoul be able to…no I can’t.
I was snapped out of my thoughts as the blue flames came closer.
“tell me where are your friends headed? She asked me playing with the blue fire on her fingertips. I will not talk to you. I will not talk to you. I will not talk to you.
I pushed my head further to the side. I felt the fire disapear. Then hot hands on my arms. Every passing second they got hotter until I could barely stand it.
“Still no talking? This will be interesting.” she said as she took her hands off my arms.
They were burned. I didn’t want to move them, but to act strong I grabbed her collar.
“I will never tell you where aang is” I said pushing it back. She seemed taken aback, but only for a moment.
“Aang? Is that his name?” she asked knowing full well it was his name. “what a stupid name,” she said laughing a little.
“You take that back,” I said standing up. no this is exactly what I shouldn’t have done.
She stood up “maybe you should think about your next move before you make it,” she advised coldly, blue fire shooting from her fingertips.
I sat back down. Keep cool katara. Don’t do anything stupid . I looked at the ground.
“I see, you two aren’t just friends are you?” she asked. she’s enjoying this.
I remained looking down until she picked up my head forcing me to stair at her. She looked into my eyes.
“one’s whole life story can be told in the eyes” she said after a moment.
“yours is simple. Started out humble. found the avatar. Fell in love.” she said, smirking. “and the very next thing you say will be a lie,” she added.
“I’ll tell you where aang is,” I spat at her.
She looked at me expectantly then realizing this was the next thing I said she grinned.
“Do you think your funny?” she asked I heard a rufling in the darkness. “I think your hilarious.” she said knife cutting deep into my arm.

I hate not being able to see. At least on the ground I could feel the rumbling. Why didn’t we look for what’s her name after she was captured? Sokka knows where she is now so we could have gone at any moment. And what was up with them suddenly leaving? They could have captured any of us yet they went for Katara.
“Guys, it’s a trap!” I yelled a little to loudly.
“what’s a trap?!” sokka yelled to me.
“they took katara to capture us!” I said back.
“I don’t care aang said we’re finding her.” he said. he’s going crazy.
“Aang you’d rather put the whole world in danger and kill yourself to rescue Katara?” I practacly yelled at him.

What Toph said cut me deep. I remembered my chocra. Training not to long ago. I had to give up Katara. the scary thing is I did it. I let go of her and something bad almost happened. Something bad did happed
I remembered the kiss. Tears streamed from my eyes.
“yes, I would,” I said
“your crazy” Toph yelled pointing in my general direction. “if we were going to sacrafice all that we were working up to, why hadn’t we just gone for what’s her name after she was captured?”
“her name is Sukki.” sokka said with quiet anger.
“She’s probably in the same jail.” I said. I’m going to win, and if they don’t want to come they can walk.
The whole bison was quiet. Especialy since we had left behind everyone but, me, sokka, Toph, and Zuko.
Why did we take toph along? She can’t do anything. so i guess you've mastered metal bending. she had to come along. I think she’s better now anyway. At least a little. And why is Zuko being so quiet? Did he want to stay with Iroh? No one forced him. I think he could be meditating.
A cloud hit my face. water went all on my face.
Katara i'm coming and no one is going to stop me.

Why Hadn’t we gone for suki? Does Aang think she’s not a good enough Warrior? He’s seen her fight. Why did toph even go there. It’s apparent she has no respect for anyone else.
“Aang, why hadn’t we gone for Suki?” I asked.
Toph gave a little snicker.
“Honestly sometimes I believe you could be the clueless person in the world.” she said messaging her blistering feet. they realy were getting better.
All was quiet again.
“Aang?” I asked once again.
“You never said anything.” Aang said.
Had I said anything? If I didn’t I was sure I meant to. How could you let Suki skip your mind? You are the worst person ever.
I fought back a tear as I often did thinking about suki. I looked out at the clouds.
There’s got to be another reason Aang’s not telling me. Apperently Toph knows. Does Zuko?

I layed back looking at my hands. They sure are blistered. Aang please hurry up. I won’t last much longer. I looked out of my window. Maybe I can take some water out of the plants.
It hurt and the water was jerky but I finaly got enough to at least heal my hands.
It looks just like Aang’s first fire bending attempt.
I started to cry.
Aang please come quick. I don’t know how much longer I’ll last. All I know is that it can’t be long.

We’re almost there Katara. Just hold on.
I landed Appa.
“Wait here buddy.” I said as I hid him behind a shrub.
“Toph do you feel her?” I asked
She sat still a moment. Then stomped her hand down on the ground. She did this once more.
“no” she said sadly, as everyone let out a long breath. “but, I do feel someone familiar. “Suki!” she said.
“where is she?” He asked a little to aggressively.
“She’s right there on the corner, I could take down that wall easily.” she said.
She took a couple steps which I knew heart her, then she stuck her fingers in and bent it back.
Sokka rushed in.
“Suki” I heard him yell.

I saw suki and my hart melted. She looked blankly up at me.
“Sokka” she said weakly.
“suki I’m here your safe now.” I said getting a little sad myself
“I’m dying soka” she said bluntly.
“no your not, your alive and we’re together now. You. Will. Not. Die.” I said even though I wasn’t totally convinced myself. Then I leaned down and gave her a soft kiss. She kissed me back. I didn’t want to come apart but I pulled away.
“we have to get her some food” I said. “come on Zuko help me get her on appa.” I pleaded.
“Zuko?” she asked a little stronger.
“he’s good now” I said back. Don’t worry suki we’ll get you out of here.”
“where’s Katara?” she asked as we lifted her up to aang and toph who put her on appa.
“she’s been captured” I explained, hopping on and giving her a carrot. She couldn’t even lift her arm up. I sat her up in my lap and fed her the carrot. Once Zuko was on we took off. Aang was crying.
“where could she be, Zuko?” he asked. I gave suki another bite.
“Well there is another prison not far from here, but it has the most guards on patrole.”
“why hadn’t you told us that in the first place” Aang blew up. Suki jumped, Toph snickered, I gave suki another bite, Zuko sat there, thinking.
“Wishful thinking.” he said.
“Gahhhhh” Aang said then shot a blast of air to the left.

I was on the ground. Hands supporting my weight. It was hard to breath and I w Bleeding from pretty much everywhere.
“How did the grass get like that outside?” Azula asked me, again.
“I don’t know.” I said in-between breaths. We were in a different room, but I knew what she was talking about.
“looks like we underestimated our little Waterbender.” she said coldly, making the last word slow.
Aang please hurry.
“Oh well it’ll all be for the best. I guess sacrificing a little grass is worth getting the avatar.” she said standing behind me.
Oh no it’s a trap. How could I be so stupid. Ahhhhhhh stupid, stupid, stupid. Aang Don’t come.
She felt my hair. “this must have taken years to grow out, and weigh you down quite a lot. Let’s end that problem. Shell we?” she said stretching my hair up and sending blue fire at it. It was cut down to my ears. My hair that had taken me my whole life to grow and hours to fix.
Stay calm Katara.
But that didn’t work.
I stood up and threw a punch at her, feeling a lot lighter the usual. She flew to the wall.
“the next move you make will be a mistake” she said, fire sprouting out of her finger tips. “I suggest you think before you move.”
I sat down, with out the friendly feeling of my hair bouncing on my back. I sighed. I’ll never be able to win.

“We’re almost there.” I heard Zuko say. Azula you’d better watch out because if Katara’s hurt your gonna pay.
My thoughts surprised me. I was trained as a monk never to want revenge only peace. But I couldn’t get the thought out of my head. There was something inside of me, something that hadn’t been there before. Appa started to fall. I pulled on the reigns.
“Just a little further buddy” I yelled. We bagan to fly, but very low. I saw i
“Land here.” Zuko said. We landed.
Toph jumped down. “I’m feeling some big sugar queen in here.” toph stated right as she hit the ground. I knew it hurt.
“I’ll stay with suki.” Sokka said.
“Sokka go get your sister.” Suki said. she’s really getting stronger.

“no” I said, as much as I didn’t want to leave those two alone so I added. “she’s way in the building and if you are going to run fast then the only people you could carry would be me and Katara. So I say that Snoozles and the prince should stay behind.” wheeew that was a mouth full. And it must have sounded pretty awkward. Comeon toph stay with it. We’re rescuing sugar queen not winning Sokka’s hart.
“Fair enough” Aang said.
I hopped on his back and we were off. When we got to the entrance I banged on the wall to see where to go. Then we awkwardly went through the building. Surprisingly we didn’t bump into anyone, but hey I don’t know what it’s like to have sight, so I guess it’s just natural.
We busted throught the doors, well I did. I jumped down. She was pretty bad, and lighter for some reason. Aang’s hart rate sprang way up.
“Katara?” he asked.
“No time,” I said hopping towards azula and bending metal around her. “try to break outa that one.” I said hopping on Aang’s back. Katara was already in his Hands. Pretty soon we were in the air and aperantly someone forgot that Appa was tiered so we ended up crashing in a cave.

“Hello suki,” I said, to be polite and buy some time with my thoughts.
“Hey Katara,” she said back to me. We were sitting Side by side on a cave wall since that was pretty much all we were capable of.
“I’m Hungry, are you hungry?” I asked, ok now things are becoming awkward.
“no I just ate something thank you” she said politly back. I guess she wants to go to sleep.
“I’m going to get something to--” but I was cut off by aang bringing me a couple carrots.
“that’s all we have katara.” he said, “well at least that’s the only food type we have.” he said as he shot a look at Sokka, who at that moment was coming over to suki with his sleeping bag.
“Hey, don’t blame me, I like carrots.” sokka said
“Aang settle down this Is really sweet of you.” I said to him. “help me over to appa I want to get my sleeping bag.” I made the excuse to get him away from everyone so I could talk to him.
“I’ll get it.” he said brightly.
“no really Aang just help me over there” I said.
“but I--” aang started being cut off by toph.
“Yeah suger queen you don’t need to go all the way over there to tell aang How you really feel. I can here you fine weather your over there or over here.” toph said in a matter o factly kind of way. your lucky I’m down right now or you and yue would be sharing the moon..
I sighed. “Aang we need to talk.”
He purked up.
“Aang,”
He turned to me. I kissed him. Sokka’s jaw dropped, Suki was asleep, Zuko staired, and toph snickered. Aang shut his eyes and kissed me back. I felt like it would last forever, and it probably would have if sokka hadn’t pulled us apart.
“Sokka!” Aang, toph and I yelled. why did toph yell.
“toph?” I asked. “oh whatever” she said then walked a couple feet away to make her tent.
“Katara! Aang! Your 14 and 12! What the hell do you think your doing?” He yelled at us.
“That’s exactly it! I’m 14! I should be able to do what I want!” I yelled stepping toward him, Don’t fall Don’t Fall.
“Katara you can’t just go kiss Aang, without any warning.” he yelled
“Actualy I started it” Aang said
“WHAT” Sokka yelled, “YOU THINK SINCE YOU’RE THE AVATAR YOU CAN JUST GO DO WHATEVER?”
“What is everyone yelling at?” Suki asked.
“Just Business that sokka shouldn’t stick his head into.” I yelled almost loosing my Balance.
“then why don’t you just let her do what she wants? She is 14 by the way.” Suki said wisely.
Soka opened his mouth but closed it settling down by suki.
All is well now. I should have done this a long time ago,
