I awoke to toph sitting right over me. I jumped back. “What were you doing?” I asked. Her hand had been inches away from my face.
“Well, I was just ‘seeing’ what you looked like, but since you interrupted me, I guess you are a one eyed, freak without a mouth or nose.” she said standing up.
“I most certainly am not.” I argued.
“Felt like that to me.” she said. I most certainly was not going to let her touch my face again. To tell you the truth, she wasn’t the cleanest person on the earth. She was probably closer to the dirtiest if not the dirtiest.
“Well I can assure you I am not, anyway where is everyone else.” I asked.
“They went shopping.” she said, playing with her bracelet. She was bending it into different shapes. It was pretty cool actually.
“Why didn’t they take me?” I asked.
“Something about, being a snooty brat.” toph said.
“What?!” I asked, “No one calls me that.” I said, standing up.
“Well, I guess Katara does” she said laughing.
“She didn’t say that” I said warily. It was apparent that she had been lying.
“nope, she wanted to let you rest, I just think it’s fun to mess with ya.” she said standing up.
“Well, why didn’t you go.” I asked.
“They needed someone to baby sit you, and I don’t like shopping so here I am.” she said picking her nose as she talked.
“I am avat--”she cut me off.
“Avatar Ozana, Ex-princess of the fire nation.” she finished. “Yeah, yeah, you know what else you are?” she asked me.
“What?” I asked, through gritted teeth.
“Annoying” she said.
“Can we talk about something else?” I asked, biting down herd. I was trying to keep my temper. The talk she had given me was bad enough, but the nick-name was unbearable.
“Do you want to earth bend?” she asked.
“YES” I yelled in excitement. I was ready for another lesson, and eager to start. I didn’t want to be around these people for longer then I had to be. I looked over at the fire. It had been put out. That was strange, usually I would know if it was.
