I think... that that sense of overpowered-ness has struck again. Solvacer's death was much more believable though. One thing that was never explained was why was he doing bounty work, (and what kind of person hired him) and whether or not he ever went to get his reward. I mean, it sort of sounds like something thrown in for "badass"-ness' sake or something. How did it turn out? Of course, I'm probably reading these out of order (but they're not numbered) so if any of these things are explained in a previous (or future, already released chapter) just let me know. One last thing that sort of reminded me of "The Cold Truth" in a way. Why did he have to leave Omashu? I mean, I can understand if he wanted to leave because of the memories or whatever, but the way it was written, it sounded like he had to run, like he was on the run or something. If he was, what was it for, and why? (and wouldn't SOMEONE notice? but not that one as much) So yeah. I voted "missing something" it's missing detail, detail, detail detail, detail. Sure you don't have to describe what every random person on the streets were doing, but a little info on what's going on would be a nice change.

Detail, eh? Well, I already know I have a problem with that... (My teachers keep telling me so when I can sum up a 3000 word essay in three paragraphs...)
But the conclusion to this story is included in The Past Returns. (Specifically, Part 1.)
Anyway, as for who he took the bounty from, that's never explained, because you're not getting the full picture. You're just getting chapters from his life, and the most important events therein.

I think you're confused. it's the LACK of detail that is the issue. You remind me of a character from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. One of the other characters said to him: "I never knew a man who could say so much while saying so little".
In other words, there is a lot to read, but there is very little detail inside of it.
aaaaannnnnddddd........ that last paragraph kinda makes me wonder if the rest is even worth reading. I mean, one of the things I hated about the show itself was all the unanswered questions. I'd hate to see good skill go to waste by leaving so much untold.

If you don't wanna read it, then... don't? Frankly, I wrote this too long ago to really care who reads them or doesn't anymore...
Besides, they were neveer supposed to be a story all in their own right. Mostly just extended backstory for the character.

usually though, a back story is created to inform, not create new questions.
that is the issue at hand.

Well, what questions are there? Most will be answered if or when I finish the next few chapters, and the rest are part of the mystery that allows an RPG character some freedom.

well, for starters, I've been asking a lot of them, and you generally only anwser one or two every time. I'd go and compile my list of questions,. but I fear that about 66.7% of them would be overlooked.
