Funny thing is, if everyone thought like me, we'd have a perfect world. (Because everyone would agree on everything, because they all think the same. This isn't just me-specific. If everyone thought like everyone else, world-perfection would be only a few steps away...)
But yeah, I know I'm too analytical and literal. I have many flaws, all of which are perfections in another's eye...

that is where you were wrong.
Every person has their own flaws that make them incompatible with people like them.
For example, with you, if everyone thought the same way, each and every person would think tey were better then the next guy, and that would lead to argument.
With me, one of the issues would be that everyone tries to think of the best way to manipulate the next guy, and/or use things to their advantage...
and that's just to name a few. All in all, people generally don't get along with themselves, and so I personally say it's a good thing we're different. ~Katara~

Why would someone exactly like me think they were better than someone exactly like them? Besides, if I couldn't get along with myself, I would find out why and change it. I would personally love to know someone that was exactly like me. Every time I met them it would be a silent contest of a different variety...
If you can't get along with yourself, then you have a flaw that you can'tstand, in which case you'd better either change it or learn to live with it, to avoid being accused of being a self-involved dim-witted hypocritical fool. There should never be a time when you would not be okay living with someone exactly like you.

Exactly. If people just realised "Hey, if I saw someone exactly like me, I'd shoot them", maybe they'd realise why they're getting shot. They bloody deserve it.
If you find you can accept someone exactly like you, then at least you know that your flaws are not ones that you would personally find intolerable. It makes you a much better person to be around if you can just see yourself from the outside...

but the problem with arrogant people is that regardless of who the other person is, they ALWAYS think that they're better.
so maybe your theory holds SOME water, but arrogance, among other things, would have to not be one of said traits. ~Iroh~

Which is why people need to look at themselves and realise this. Then, no more random arrogance. People will only act like they're better than someone if they know them personally, and have reason to beleive it. (At least, if people also look at themselves and decide to get some brains...)

and yet sadly, when people finally DO get brains, then they realize that arrogance just amounts to stupidity, and usually gets other people scoffing at them, thus thinking "haha that guy's a loser thinking he's so much better than the rest of us", therefore creating an infinite cycle.
