Do you think there are more Airbenders?

there have to be other air benders... otherwise the next air bender avatar won't exist and i don't think the line will bridge that gap...and because there has to be someone to teach aang the ultimate technique.

Hell yeah there are still Air Benders left.

1. Ba gua (the martial art that inspired Air Bending) is all about circular movements that redirect your opponents energies. Wikipedia also says that it lacks a lot of finishing moves which goes well with Air Benders respect for all life. Also, it's been said in the show that Air Benders avoided fights more than they partook of them. It makes sense that some of them, at least, would have hid.

2. There is a rumor (I don't know if it's been confirmed or not) that they will be changing the shows name from Avatar: The Last Airbender to Avatar: The Legend of Aang. This would suggest that there are more airbenders.

I believe that the Air Benders still exist. Just not in the same way they did a hundred years before.

I think there is a other air bender. Although in the title stand 'The last avatar'

And maybe it was a fould from the maker, maybe it was "The lOst avatar" ;p who knows

yes but i believe the title could imply that there are no more airbenders left from aang's generation. it could open up the story for more airbenders like the kids of kids that aang used to play with at the temple.

also i would like to point out that avatar the last airbender is the name used in certain countries. in other countries the name is avatar: the legend of aang. this was also the original title of the storyline

i think we all agree that there are more airbenders but the question is when will they be shown in book 3

Wow, that's a lot to read. >_< but yeah I agree with everybody else, it just seems you can't totally kill off a nomads bloodline. they're nomadic so likely air bender babies are born all over the world. You can't really plan when the baby will drop after all. >_<

I also like to look at it this way, 3 out of 4 nations were good, when the fire nation made it clear it's intent to wipe out Airbenders not just catch them, i'm sure leaders of both water and earth got together and hid the airbenders as best they could. Like protection program style. I can see Bumi rounding up names and assigning homes and covers for them. And i'm sure it was promoted to 'save an airbender, save our nation" that sounds like good propaganda to me.

I bet there is a mix though, those born with it who have hunches that they are but fear of the fire nation keeps them from trying. So yeah, i can't wait to see the new air benders. Go nomads!
