its not really ridiculous. she is awfully good with acrobatics and doesnt have any other type of bending. and she's a lot like aang. but thats not what this thread is for anyway.

there probably are more airbender just to carry on the cycle like others have said. but i dont think this airbender(s) will join the group or have a major role. i think this person might be jsut as important as teo or the duke, not a major character. but that just what i think.

There is no set rule in the show that one Nations person can not have off spring with another's and if they can bend or not.

All Air Nomads can bend so if Aang is to have a kid it would no longer be the show the last Air bender.Thought Aang is an Avatar we never know Aang may be excluded form being the last Air bender.

Well I think it still are air benders at the eastern air temple that are waiting for aang so he can truly master air bending

Heres my theory, when the Air Temples were attacked, some Air Nomads and Benders would have fled. How often can you catch a flying bison? And the Fire Nation has only developed air power recently. Unless they take Dragons however Sozin may have scared them off the Fire Nation by this time.

So these fleeing benders would have mixed with other raes, air bending will have been lost. However Air Nomads would not have been. Air Nomads would have survived in other races (its only been roughly 2 generations since the attak) and simply not have been taught to bend by their elders for their safety.

After the war Aang simply has to call out to the Air Nomad decendants and teach them. This also allows for the title, as the Nomads survive, but none are benders.

Yah probably not. i would also like to touchbase on the fact that the orginal name of the series (which is still used in some places) is Avatar: the legend of Aang. so it does not neccesarily imply that there will not be anymore for those of you hopefuls that want proof that there might be some

well like said before the avatar would not be able to exsist our go through the cycle if there were no airbenders also the avatar would not be able to airbend even if the cycle did continue because there would be no airbenders to teach him/her and roku did warn aang that the cycle would be vroken if he died in avatar state soooo that means there will be more avatars and soooo there is still airbenders hiding somewere.............

I think there are airbenders left just for the fact that when the next avatar comes along he cannot be a fully realized avatar unless he masters air and therefore all of this could happen again; war, terror, suffering... there has to be more. Mostly because I agree with the already mentioned that the airbenders were nomads...

there has to be airbenders. what happens when Aang's successor comes along. he/she wouldn't be an airbender, (wouldn't they be water?) since aang was (yeah, the whole pattern thingy).
so yeah. they are somewhere... out there... atlantis? El Dorado?
