Actually i don't know what it takes to be a master in ANY bending category, but since master Pakku and Hama called her a master and regarding the sheer prowess in waterbending she showed since book 2, i'd say she certainly IS a waterbending master. At least she seems to be able to do all the things master Pakku and mistress Hama were able to do and them some.

To be a master you must be a a seasoned fighter, and mastered the art threw and threw. Katara is still learning. She has been training for how long again?

I admit that i would also argument this way, if it were a show about the real world, but then it's not. And for whatever reason the main characters seem to be able to learn everything a thousand times faster than normal people would. It's rather strange, but that's the way it is in Avatar. For anything else we can only look on how they perform, and Katara definitely performs at least as good as the other waterbending masters we've seen. In fact she even seems to be more versatile and powerful by now. So you may say "she isn't" or "she doesn't deserve" or whatever, but that won't change the simple FACT that she has been declared a waterbending master by two other ancient masters and the FACT that she performes like a master ever since.

SHe traind for like three days. She's not a master yet. If Paku hadn't called her a master Aang might not of listened to her as much.

You can say that over and over again as often as you want, it won't change the FACTS provided by the show irself: Katara has been declared a waterbending master by two other ancient masters and she performes like a master ever since. There's no way denying that.

Wana bet? The title of master dose not come with just the completion of your training.

Wana bet? The title of master dose not come with just the completion of your training. But what you and i are thinking about mastership is absolutely irrelevant for the universe within the show!!! Within this universe Katara officially carries the title of a master and also shows the skill and power to back it up. So what's your point?

I don't think she is a master. Believe me, everyone here already noticed that! But it won't change anything about the facts. Just because YOU don't think it's true it won't become untrue. You might as well tell everyone you don't think the earth is round. Just because of that the planet won't become a disc.
