Katara 'Master' bender

actually, though, another master waterbender could stop a bloodbender from bloodbending them by (well, you saw that even though they were being bloodbended, aang and sokka could still talk) yelling for help...maybe...

Ok, I know I am a guest and whatever, but here I go.

I am in favor of Katara being a master.

-She drove back Azula in combat before there was intervention (Azula IS a master. She can produce blue fire and lightning, the most advanced techniques in Firebending. Master, end of story). If she can do that, she is pretty good a fighting.

-You were mentioning her not being seasoned. She has been travelling with the AVATAR. The most wanted kid in the Fire Nation. She has had her share of battles. Also, not being deterred by surprises means something to. When she woke up in the episode "The Beach", it took her no time to launch a powerful attack at the intruder (Combustion Man).

-You mentioned that she didn't defeat Master Pakku. That was back in season 1. I wouldn't of considered her master then either. (But even then, she put up a fight)

-She was deemed master by two other Masters (Hamma is a master. She may be crazy, but she is very powerful.). Also Pakku, who was called a master by his whole tribe probably had an eye to see who was a master and who wasn't.

-The only reason she hasn't had a good display of her Waterbending (Again, until with Azula in CoD) is because of her lack of water. She had a small skin with her all the time to bend with, but when she has more, she demonstrates much more power in her bending. She also is very creative. In her fight with Pakku, she was more creative than Pakku was. Pakku stuck to the books, but the master of anything will try something new that isn't in the books (Pakku wasn't expecting Katara to be that good at first). Katara has displayed this many times (Making ice disks in that battle, bending the high totems to fall of Pakku). She even got around the limited water thing before she met Hama when she bent her own sweat. Now she can get around that limitation with ease by using plants and water in the air.

-Somebody mentioned that not willing to learn something or not knowing all the techniques of a skill makes you not a master. Think to the swamp guy who bended the plants. I am sure there have been very few people who have done that (Remeber, the other water tribes are in the middle of the ice, not many plants around). Also, just because you take displeasure in a certain area doesn't deter your mastership. If a historian wasn't that interested in the the civil war and didn't study it much but still knew the details doesn't make him any less of a historian. Katara hasn't demonstrated Bloodbending anymore because it isn't the full moon anymore!

Ok, now you are just being irrelevant to a discussion because I completely and utterly backed up my claim and you are just sticking to your story because you can't think of anything to say and don't want to be wrong. If she couldn't bend water 1 inch it wouldn't matter, she was deemed a master by another master, and she could be an apple bender for anyone cares. Master is a title. If some random guy in the middle of the ocean is the most powerful waterbender in the world, he is not a master because he hasn't been deemed one. If the strongest warrior lives alone he isn't a knight because he hasn't been deemed one. Even though Katara HAS backed up her master title with awsome desplays of bending ability, she has been called a master by two other masters. Pakku called her 'Master Katara' and that is all the proof anyone needs. By not backing up your statements any longer it now proves you see my FACTS are correct and yours are wrong, even if you won'd admit it, Katara is a master whether you like it or not. End of discussion (Even though you will probably not agree so.)

If you want to amke a true impact then sign up, and then we can all go over the 7 pages of arguments. I've put before, and once more... WE, the fans, do NOT know what defines a master. We know that Pakku said to Katara, "I guess Aang better get used to calling you 'master'" could that just mean teacher??? YES. We know Hamma called HERSELF a master, but if I say I'm a duck that doesn't make me a duck. So before posting, read everything first.

Katara CAN be considered a Master Waterbender. That's what I know she is!!!
